Your own rate is set by a credit assessment when you apply, and a weaker credit record carries a higher rate and a higher instalment. Rates are linked to the prime lending rate, so instalments rise and fall with it.

Where an offer shows a balloon, it ends with a balloon payment, which is a lump sum owed as the final payment: a 72-month offer is 71 monthly instalments followed by the balloon. An offer without a balloon is paid off in full by its monthly instalments over 72 months. Instalments include a monthly service fee of R 69, and an initiation fee of R 1 207,50 is financed with the vehicle. Retail prices include VAT. E&OE.
